Blow molding, also known as blow forming, is a fabrication technique used to shape hollow resin items, such as bottles, barrels, and large holding tanks. The basic idea involves inflating a preform – a tiny segment of polymer – with compressed air inside a mold. This air forces the resin against the lining of the mold, taking its configuration.
